New Hours at the Jefferson Pools (across the highway - 80 steps from the Warm Springs Inn:
The Jefferson Pools
Enjoy the best hot springs in Virginia straight from the source at The Omni Homestead Resort. Two major springs from the Allegheny Mountains flow through the property and allow visitors to soak in the natural mineral waters of our Jefferson Pools. The springs are naturally heated and do not require any chemical treatments.
The legendary Jefferson Pools are the cream of the crop of Virginia hot springs and have drawn visitors from across the country for centuries. The pools are named for Thomas Jefferson, who sojourned here in 1818 to spend three weeks relaxing within our Virginia mountain spa. Soaking in the Gentlemen's Pool House three times a day, Jefferson proclaimed the spring waters to be "of the first merit." Today you can follow in the footsteps of Jefferson and so many other renowned Americans with an hour-long Jefferson Soak, a restorative mountain spa treatment for $17.
The Jefferson Pools consist of two main buildings, which allow for men and women to have their own oasis to heal and relax. Guests under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present during family time and are not permitted during the adult soaking time.
The Omni Homestead made a big change to their soaking policy at the Jefferson Pools and we wanted to share since many of our guests come to soak at the pools. Starting today, you must make a reservation to soak at the pools. Their daily hours are as follows:
10am-12pm Family Soak (children under 18 welcome)
12pm-2pm Coed Adult Soak (no separation by gender, no kids)
2pm-6pm Adult Soak (separated by gender/bath house)
Call 540-839-1766 to make your RESERVATIONS to soak. You mu...st also obtain a waiver from their Concierge desk to take with you to the pools. We do not know if the pools themselves will have this waiver. Please direct any questions to the Omni Homestead, as we are sharing all that we know at this point.
Here is a direct link to their pools website. Thank you.
